How ChatoU processes app data.

1. Summary

• ChatoU is a mobile AI storytelling app for creating fictional characters, scene writing, highlights, and visual story cards.
• ChatoU does not require account registration in the current version.
• Core app records are stored locally on your device.
• When you use AI features, relevant prompts, character context, recent conversation turns, and image-generation prompts are sent to SiliconFlow.
• We do not sell your personal information.

2. Information We Process

Information you provide in the App

• Character names, personas, styles, and opening scenarios.
• Scene chat messages and other free-form text you enter.
• Profile nickname.
• Profile avatar photos if you choose to take or select one.

Information generated or stored by the App

• Local character records, chat messages, highlights, story-card captions, gallery items, history items, style choices, and timestamps.
• AI-generated replies, highlight summaries, story-card prompts, and generated image file paths.
• Generated card images downloaded from SiliconFlow image-generation results and saved in local app storage.
• Profile avatar image files copied into local app storage.

Information the App does not intentionally collect for current features

In the current version, ChatoU does not intentionally collect contacts, precise location, microphone audio, health data, payment card information, government identification, or advertising identifiers.

Please do not include highly sensitive personal information in messages, prompts, character profiles, or generated-content inputs.

3. How We Use Information

• Run ChatoU's core scene, character, chat, gallery, history, and profile features.
• Generate requested AI replies, highlights, story-card prompts, and images.
• Save local records, images, and preferences on your device.
• Let you share story cards through your device's standard share sheet when you choose to share.
• Support basic app operations, troubleshooting, and feature delivery.

4. Where Data Is Stored

• ChatoU stores core app data locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database.
• Profile avatar images and generated card images may be copied into the App's local document storage.
• In the current version, ChatoU does not provide its own account system, backend cloud storage, or cloud sync for your local records.
• Uninstalling the App may remove local app data, subject to your device operating system and backup behavior.

5. Third-Party Provider Processing

• ChatoU uses SiliconFlow for AI text generation and image generation.
• Data sent to SiliconFlow may include character descriptions, scene setup text, recent conversation turns, user messages, highlight text, image prompts, and generation parameters.
• Output returned by SiliconFlow may include AI chat replies, highlight details, story-card captions, image prompts, and generated image URLs.
• ChatoU may download generated images from SiliconFlow result URLs and store those images locally on your device.
• SiliconFlow processes data under its own terms, privacy policy, and retention practices.

6. Permissions and Device Features

• Internet access is used for SiliconFlow AI requests and generated image downloads.
• Camera access is used only when you choose to take a profile photo.
• Photo library access is used only when you choose an existing profile photo.
• The device share sheet is used only when you choose to share a story card or gallery item.
• The App does not request microphone, contacts, precise location, health, or payment-card permissions for its current core features.

7. Data Sharing and Selling

• We do not sell personal information.
• We do not share personal information with data brokers.
• The current repository does not include third-party advertising SDKs.
• The current repository does not include third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
• We may disclose information if required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process.

8. Data Retention and Your Controls

• Local character, chat, highlight, gallery, story-card, profile, and image records remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the App.
• You can delete history items from the App's history interface.
• Profile nickname and avatar choices are stored locally and can be changed in the App's settings interface.
• Data handled by SiliconFlow may be retained according to SiliconFlow's own policies. ChatoU cannot delete data retained by SiliconFlow unless SiliconFlow provides a supported deletion mechanism outside the App.

9. International Data Transfers

If you use features that rely on SiliconFlow, your prompts and related context may be processed by infrastructure in multiple countries or regions.

10. Children's Privacy

ChatoU is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to independently consent to data processing in their jurisdiction.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date and publish the revised version with the App or its distribution page.
